Design
| The design of any SharePoint site (particularly one that is accessed from many remote locations) is critical to its effectiveness and acceptance – it must reflect business needs, whilst providing an environment in which workers feel comfortable and motivated to contribute.
The design incorporates many facets – site design and structure, content management and search functionality require a great deal of planning.
Look and feel should also be carefully thought out to ensure the site is more than just pretty pictures – it must incorporate a logical, easy to follow navigation path to enable users with limited IT knowledge to navigate their way quickly and easily.
Built into the Design Plan, a User Roles Matrix will identify responsibilities for content and site management – ensuring content is maintained, and access to unauthorised and/or sensitive information is tightly controlled.
Our design team can help you plan your new site, optimise your existing one, or undertake a comprehensive Site Audit to ensure your site is built to SharePoint best practice guidelines. | |
